calyx consulting
Calyx Consuling was founded in 2020 in Chicago, IL in order to expand our operations to the United States. Calyx Consulting has successfully formulated numerous projects in the field of human molecular genetics in its first two years of practice, and starting September 2022, we expanded its areas of operations to manufacturing and distribution of non-food consumer products.
AKSE Tedarik, which is our operational partner in Turkey, provides consumer products to national and international supermarket chain supermarkets.
AKSE has completed numerous projects with supermarket chains such as BIM, A101 and SOK. BIM projects included both local and Moroccon BIM Supermarkets.
Dr. Sevinc was born in Izmir, Turkey in 1979. He completed his undergraduate and Masters education in the field of Molecular Biology and Genetics, in Middle East Technical University (METU) and Bilkent University, respectively.
He completed his Doctorate studies in University of Illinois at Chicago, in the field of molecular biology and molecular genetics of human disease conditions. His work was concentrated in Alzheimer's Disease and was published in 4 scientific manuscripts.
Dr. Sevinc continued his career with his MBA studies with a concentration in Translational Research, during which he continued a position in Equity Research at Blackmore Partners, Inc in Chicago.
He launched his first company, Izmir Genetik Arastirma ve Tic. Ltd. Sti. (www.izmirgenetik.com) in 2015, providing advanced genetic tests in Turkey and surrounding region. Izmir Genetik grew to a fully licensed and certified Genetics Center (Izmir Genetik Hastaliklar Degerlendirme Merkezi), and is now serving the whole Turkey and surrounding countries.
In 2016, Dr Sevinc started his second company, AKSE Genetik which has formulated numerous project proposals, 3 of which received research funding in the field of Research and Development.
In 2020, Dr. Sevinc started CALYX Consulting LLC, to expand his operations to United States. Calyx Consulting continues several projects in the fields of genetic testing and sourcing projects in the field of manufacturing.
AKSE transformed into AKSE Tedarik in 2022, which encompasses a very strong structure providing consumer products to national and international supermarket chains.
Since its launch, AKSE has completed numerous projects with large scale national and international chain supermarkets, such as BIM, A101, SOK Supermarkets. Please refer to our Projects page for a list of projects that we completed.
